Location in ArmeniaOn the left side of Anahit canyon the monument-complex Bri Yeghtsi is situated.

The convent clearly stands out in the thorn and sand covered area. It’s amazing how skillfully the architects combined the noteworthy convent with the plain surroundings. On the green background of the canyons and mountains especially stands out the milk-white erection.

Though the inscriptions on the convent belong to XII-XIII cc, splinters of other older erections and inscriptions show the existence of some other erection at the same place.

The present complex Bri Yeghtsi consists of four churches, a dome, three khachkar walls, destroyed vestibule, some other auxiliary erections that naturally have been reconstructed throughout years.

Two architects’ names come up in construction of the monument- Khachenik Anetsi and Shahen.

In the old and new cemetery many noteworthy tombstones preserved. Parts of the fence are preserved here and there also.
