This guide was completed in July, 1999 by Brady Kiesling, who worked at the American Embassy in Yerevan, Armenia.  He completed a major update in March, 2000, which I have in turn updated and expanded a great deal. Brady originally prepared the online book in rich text format with a set of maps of Armenia. I have now completely moved the book to web format rather than rich text format, in able to make it easier to view and update. There is also a nicely printed version of this book available on Amazon.com for $15, or for less on the streets of Yerevan. It has a nicely softbound cover with a mosaic of pictures of Armenia, the full text with interspersed sketches of many of the sites, and all of the color maps at the back.

Here I will detail some of the changes I have made to the original text.

• Added Karabakh Section and Maps
• Added GPS coordinates of many sites
• Added large amounts of background info on various sites and towns
• Added timely practical information (transport, visa, holidays, etc)
• Added photographs
• Added city maps
• Added interesting texts (Tumanyan, etc)
• Implemented more detailed rating system
• Clarified some directions
• Hyperlinked many sites to additional info/pics
