OK, hear me out on this one. I have spent a bit of time thinking about this one and it makes perfect sense to me.
Assyrians, like the Armenians, are an ancient people and a Christian people. They have been without a homeland for a long time and their numbers are so small it does not seem they will ever gain one. Armenia, after many years without a homeland finally got its independence. Why can't Armenia give a few square miles (one to five I would say) of land, completely inside Armenia to the Assyrians? There are a number of countries that small (Vatican City, San Marino, Leitchenstein, Monaco, Andorra, etc) and although Armenia is not at the center of historic Assyria, it does have an indigenous Assyrian population. Wouldn't it be great to have a place to revive this people this culture and have that place be in Armenia? If it is built up like almost any of the small countries I mentioned, it could become a great tourist attraction, bringing revenue to both peoples. Well, anyhow, I guess that is about all there is to this idea. A small valley, mountain or such would not be too much to give and the result would be just great. Little countries always generate interest and Assyria certainly has a reputation already based on events 3,000 years ago, so why not make our country that much more interesting?
