Congratulations to Silva. And Der Hova.

Hey gang,

Check this out.

I got to know about her and voted in the first round thanks to Der Hova's post, which is the case for many others too, I'm sure. So, let's be just a little bit prouder today.

The votes that were collected through the internet bumped Silva's position from about 8th place to 1st within half a day. I'm not really sure if my post here or Harmick's on starmenia.eu helped. If so, that just proves that Armenians CAN actually work together.

And now, Silva coming first place is awesome news. This time around, the voting was up to the jury, which included awesome producer William Orbit.

I think Silva should represent Armenia in next year's Eurovision competition. Unfortunately, rumour has it that it's been decided that either Hayko, Emmy or Sirusho will go. 100% politics.

I say, I just saw her on BBC, and it was SO impressive, because the others were, like, big groups with fancy instruments, jumping about all over the place. But our young lady ? Hamesd, modestly singing (actually singing, NOT khaydaragoren lip-synching) to music. And she cried when she won. It felt so good...! :-)

Reminds me of that story with Gomidas, about a hundred years ago, at a song competition in Paris, going up on to a bare stage with a little flute, I guess, and winning the audience, and the prize, I think.

Just goes to show you how much talent lies in Armenians. Maybe with Silva at Eurovision next year, odars will vote for us, too, and we'll come out on top.

I am very happy to hear this news. I was wondering how we can find some more information on Silva, herself. Is she new to the scene? I had never heard of her before.

She should be put forward for Eurovision.very talented . Nice song too but obviously she pales in comparison to the maestro and master of music and vocal extravaganza that is Hayko?

lol

I don't like Hayko. Call me crazy. I see nothing in that dude. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that he was one of those lipstinkers, as Nareg so eloquently stated.

Go Silva. Too bad internet sucks, I can't even hear the song straight through. I'll catch it eventually I'm sure.

GREAT SONG..... except I don't get why it's called "I Like" and not "Let Me Love You"... :) Also, some coaching with the accent would improve it by 10000%! :) (Ya.. I'd volunteer to help with that!) AWESOME JOB.. and about Eurovision.. Hayko? His songs are "boring". Nothing special about him - doesn't "tickle" the audience in any which way... nice guy though.

Sorry, when I read the song title "I Like" the only thing that enters my head is Borat saying "I Liiiike." Yeesh, associations can be a pain.
