THE WORLD HAS SPOKEN!!!!!!!

First of all, YAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY AMERICA!!!!!!! All those non-believers who accused me of being an America hating communist, take a good look. I've never been more proud to be an American as I am today!

Democrats take over the House
Democrats take over the Senate
and DONALD RUMSFELD RESIGNS!!!!

Oh, for the cherry on top, UN lifts the embargo on Cuba. Wait, that is kinda a commie thing to say. Well, whateverrr.....

SHNORHAVOR AMERICANS, you can now look towards a brighter future... sorta. Let's face it, the Dems aint much better, but at least they aren't AS evil.

By the way, here is an old photo of our New Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi speaking at the Capitol Hill Armenian Genocide Observance for the 90th Anniversary. Let's do our job reminding her of her loyalty to us. :)

Just to clarify, the UN has not lifted the sanctions on Cuba, because the UN had not placed any sanctions in the first place. The sanctions were placed by the US and only they can lift them.
All the UN did was pass a resolution (for the 15th consecutive year) saying that the sanctions must be lifted. And we all know what power UN sanctions wield...

That is why we need to "remind" the Speaker of her loyalty to us in the past. It get's easier to hold people to their word when they have a long record of support. I know, Hastert, Bush, they all made promises. Well, neither are female democrats from San Francisco who attented our annual Genocide Observance. Pelosi will have a lot more explaining to do if she doesn't act. Pelosi is no guarantee, but a better chance for recognition.

The Genocide Resolution has plenty of bipartisan support. My comments are not in celebration of there being more Democrats, rather the fact that Hastert as Speaker proved to be a major block in passing of the resolution. If Hastert put the resolution to a vote, it would have passed with flying colors because MANY Congressmen on both sides of the aisle support it. Many of our best supporters are Republicans.

The positive side of Dems taking the House is not that more Dems would vote for it, we don't need more support. Rather, Nancy Pelosi will be Speaker of the House. She has a long record of supporting Armenian issues. This is no guarantee, but chances of her passing it are better than with Hastert.

And for the record, Clinton did promise to do more for Armenians, yes. But I'm a firm believer that it was Hastert who was responsible for blocking Section 907 back in 2000 and not the president. I'm not defending Clinton, I think he was dangerous too... just not as much as this guy. At least Clinton opened the doors to speak with Armenians. Bush's people wont even give us the courtesy of picking up the phone.
