I'm Alive

Ama, I haven't posted anything in over two months! But thanks to the complaints of friends back in Canada, here I am :-)

Life hasn't been the same since Qami Pchi. Honestly, well at least as far as my career is concerned with the Armo music industry.

I just finished up the long awaited follow-up for HAYQ (wrote the music + arranged/produced/engineered/mixed/mastered). The group also just shot a video for the new song. The single (along with Qami) plus a couple of club remixes I did should be out this month. I've been told there will be distribution in North America as well.

The video they shot looks quite nice, but there are things I can definitely complain about. Sorry for being prejudice, but tell me, why do so many Hayastantsis love this whole "gangsta" garbage? Bathing with whores and carrying a gun ... what does that have to do with a love song? ANYWAY ... you'll soon see what I'm talking about.

Other than HAYQ, tonnes of other projects have come up. Juggling between work and the annual summer entertaining of tourists was really hectic this year. The weather didn't help, but it's finally starting to change. Actually, still over 30 celsius in the daytime, but nights have been quite cold.

By the way, check out Armenian Comedy's rendition of Qami Pchi = Taxi Hasi.

Hi Raff,

I am new to this blog/website, although i have been using Armeniapedia.org (your other website) for great tool of information to learn & absorb my great beautiful Armenianness. I express my comments because i am a real true pure Hye, and a serious natural Hayastan lover. Meaning i love my Hayastan very much, with a tremendous amount of heart, passion, & soul. Unfortunately for me i am born & raised in the USA (which is a serious negative flaw for me, and i haven't enjoyed it much at all, can you believe that ?)and, unfortunately, i have not taken my birthright to visit my beautiful glorious gorgeous motherland Hayastan, and well i have been doing mass research via the internet about Armenia & its condition, and my results are that i am dying to just move there and be the real true pure Armenian that i know i can be, and more importantly to help Armenia's & Karabagh's economic state & morality of the people throught out all, and contribute in any fashion that i can because Hayastan deserves my contributions to make it better place for all real true pure Armenians, but seriously i would have to consider it before making any move, and i would need to visit Hayastan for my very 1st time, and stay for a length of minimum of 3 mo. to a max of 4 to absorb & experience the greatest country to ever be in the history of the world. i dont have any connections there or know of anyone there, my heart cries out to want to live in Hayastan, and be a real true pure Armenian (which i believe i am)but i want to be even more so than i am now. can i ask for your opinion on this topic ? can you recommend to me how should i approach this ? would you consider to help me if i come to stay there and then possibly make arrangments to stay on a permanant basis ? Please advise on this soon, thank you for your websites and for being a great fellow Armenian

Hi Antranig, I recommend you come to Armenia for a week and check it out, then do 2 months of Armenian Volunteer Corps, and then another month of travel and exploration. It will be a good introduction to the country and then you can decide what you want to do...
