The YerazArt Tour
I have recently returned back to normalcy after an 18 day tour with the YerazArt Young Musicians from Armenia. Ranging in age from 12 to 16, plus an adult chaperone, this group dazzled audiences all around. However, there were some bumps in the road with regard to attendance and overall committment from our Diaspora in supporting these young musicians. I will blog like I have in the past, serializing the experience. I thought I had seen it all in this profession and with our own Armenian community. However, wait until you hear my story.

I saw heard YerazArt play at the Assembly's baquet at the end of March, they were amazing. Everyone couldn't believe how fantastic they were an Senator Sarbanes of course was nice and said all Armenians should be proud of that amazing group. So I hope they gain in popularity, they certainly deserve it.
Sorry to hear that there a few glitches. Take it from me that when I heard these kids perform when taking photos of them in Yerevan, I was gobsmacked.
It people didn't turnout I think it's a real pity, but ultimately their loss. Interestingly, I think a foreign audience would have been more receptive.
It's one of the greatest paradoxes that I always discover. That is, Armenian culture is often more genuinely appreciated by non-Armenians by Armenians.
Go figure.
