Eclipse

Wow, it's almost finished, but what a cool one. I saw on CNN that there was going to be one which was best seen by the Caspian, and luckily I was outdoors when it came... Everybody was stopping every so often and looking up with sunglasses. It got pretty dark, like the sun was close to setting, and when I looked at the sun with a welders mask, it was a slim crescent, which was really cool.

Yeah, Raffi, I read about it on the BBC site this morning, and I was out in the afternoon as it was happening. Luckily, a friend had a "plyonka" (a camera negative) on him, and we had a look through that.

Another guy nearby was checking it out through a tooth x-ray...!!! In his defence, it looked pretty cool; the shadow of the moon 'twixt the shadow of the molars... :-P

A number of people were using floppy disks, pulling back the metal and looking through the dark magnetic layer... I don't know that I can defend them :-)
