Եթե ճանապարհորդել եք մարշուտկայով (երթուղային տաքսով:-)) Հայաստանի մի մարզից մյուսը, սա ձեզ համար արդեն ծանոթ պատմություն է, իսկ եթե ոչ, հետաքրքիր կլինի, կարող եմ հավաստիացնել:-) Շաբաթ օրը պետք է գնայի Վանաձոր: Սպասում էինք, որպեսզի բավականաչափ մարդ հավաքվի ու մարշուտկան շարջվի: Հանկարծ լսում եմ. ձեզանից ով ա ՞ կիրովականցի: Գլուխս բարձրացրի ու տեսա մի 70 տարեկան պապիկի: Ասում եմ, “Ես եմ, կարո՞ղ եմ Ձեզ օգնել”: Էս պապիկն էլ, թե “Աղջիկ ջան, փող եմ ուզում ուղարկել, մի 30 մանեթ: Կարո՞ղ ա տանես:” Ասում եմ, իհարկե: Պապիկը հանում է 30.000 դրամ ու տալիս ինձ` խնդրելով ինչ-որ տեղ գրել նաև հեռախոսահամարները, որոնցով փոխանցելու եմ: Ինձ մոտ գրում եմ համարները ու երբ վերջացնում եմ, էս պապիկն ինձ ամպի չափ ապրես ասելով` սկսում է իջնել մարշուտկայից: Ասում եմ, իսկ չեք ուզում իմ հեռախոսի համարները տամ: “Բալա ջան, էնա դու կզանգես էլի, թե՞ չես կարա”, հարցնում է պապիկը…
Ի՞նչ ասեմ. կա՞ առավել մեծ երջանկություն, քան աներկբա հավատն ու վստահությունը հանդեպ դիմացինդ: Շատերս ենք ապավինում կասկածամտությանը` վստահելով դրան մեր ինքնապաշտպանությունը ցավից, հիասթափությունից, բայց արժի՞ արդյոք…

That's why I think the Kirovakantsi, and Loretsi in general, are one of the best people in Armenia.
Unfortunately it is now pretty much hard to find native Kirovakantsi or Vanadzortsi in Vanadzor due to Soviet industrial revolution. Go to Dsegh and other villages in Lori and you can find the best people in Armenia. I don’t think that anybody would disagree.
The most fascinating thing is when Loretsi try to outsmart you, it is so pure and honest compared what you would experience in Yerevan or gyumri where it seems that it is people's aim to cheat.
According to Gurdjeff that was the way of money transfers in Caucasus and further to east in late XIX and early XX century. And it is still in practice.

waht an inslut to gyumretsis, and then you cite a gyumretsi gurdjief to make your point. gyumretsi - born to cheat? come on get alive man! i can't believe it? and this comes from a gyumretsi, I am sure issahakian was cheat, shiraz was a cheat, mnjoian was a cheat. this is crap. and plase don't go to gyumri!
Honestly, I did not mean to initiate this futile debate on who’s better or worse in Armenia… Being a Loretsi I certainly appreciate the unique Weltanschauung Lori has offered me, but I can never underestimate the passion for life I’ve met in Gyumri, the unrestricted sense of freedom I’ve experienced in Syunik, the warmth and curiosity of Tavush etc. etc. And I’ve seen meanness anywhere I’ve been, be it an Armenian marz or a praised western democracy. I personally share the idea of certain people having certain destinies (well, there’s a lot I find true in Roman Yepiskoposyan’s theory:-)), but hopefully this will not blind me with arrogance of labeling people.
BTW, when papik asked about any Kirovakantsi in the marshutka, this was not because he trusted them more. Simply he was being rational: he was looking for a Kirovakantsi just in case the person wouldn’t be able to find his relatives on the day he arrives to Vanadzor. As Kirovakantsi the person supposedly would live in town and be able to contact them later:-)

Well then the next time around be sure you do not label anybody topically, as you did. The question here is not about better/worse, it is about insulting people and I did not notice a tone of apology in your response either, you just coated your prejudices, I am sure fuelled by the Weltanschauung you so aptly cite, with talking of a "passion for life."
If Mr. anonymous had read the post and the comments a little bit more carefully I'm sure he would not get so excited.

Why not just praise the singularity of the jesture of trust.
I am sure there are lots of honest people from all walks of life that makes us still beleive there is some humanity left for future hope in one another.
It is a sad state of affairs to proscribe this good jesture to any particular "tzi".
I have witnessed it, even if rarely, this blind trust in other parts of the world. And not necessarily Armenians.
