You've got to be kidding me...

Photos still not ready, I'll post them this weekend, I promise. Til then, I just saw this on bbc news online. Apparently Turkey's finding another way to stick it to their neighbors, including Armenia. So if you all wonder how the Bird Flu destroyed the human race, you can thank Armenians and fellow neighbors for hiding info about internal Bird Flu cases from Turkey. Read...

"Closed regimes", only Syria would take up that title. BTW, you noted, "Including Armenia" in your post? Why? Where did you read that Arsineh? This specific BBC news article you linked has absolutely no direct blame-mentioning towards Armenia. It only refers to the region as "and Caucasus countries". That could be Georgia and Azerbaijan. We can't call Turkish foul with “could be” euphoria now can we? I'm kind of disappointed, as a photo-journalist you dabbling into some acute misinterpretations. I'm not a fan of the Turkish Government, but I am somewhat jolted why you noted this BBC published newsource online. The Bird-Flu is a real killer and Armenia should get ready for it with neighboring cooperation. OK, now post them photos and lets see what you’ve got.

It didn't single out Armenia, but Armenia was the first listed among the countries neighboring Turkey and was indirectly accused, I'll admit that. I just wonder what Turkey is up to in these accuasations-Armenia or not.
And I'm sadly not a professional photo-journalist (maybe we now know why), was never trained in journalism... I'm a graphic designer with opinions on many things and chose to share them on this site, openly exposing myself as a biased perspective. The photos are just my life-dominating hobby. This weekend, I promise... I took 600 photos and I'm trying to narrow them down to at least 100. ARG!

Syria is a big problem in the middle east. I noticed Armenian University students from Syria when traveling in Yerevan. We talked a bit. They loved their newly found freedoms in Armenia. That was nice to hear.

Dave,

I think you are getting a little too technical in your response to Arsineh. "Jolted" is really a silly word to describe whatever you are feeling. And of course, if you are a journalist you surely understand the concept of indirect accusations through inferance. Thus, I would disagree with your overly PC response to Arsineh. And, I would question your motives for posting such a response. I don't think Armenians need "lessons" from you in being skeptical of Turkish propaganda. We know all too well what they are capable of when it comes to dealing with Armenians.

Ultimately, understanding Turkish-Armenian relations helps here. The Turkish government in general usually stops at nothing to blame others for their problems. Take a look at their problems in the EU and they blame them for being a "Christian Club" for a rough potential transition into the EU. When the Turk Meghmet Ali Agca shot the Pope in the early 80's, a representative of Turkey on "Nightline" with Ted Koppel said that Agca was an ethnic Armenian, in which Koppel rebuked the guest for the statement.

And now we have the Avian flu which happens to be at the center of controversy. So, the Turks blame the Armenians as we as other countries for covering it up or whatever nonsense they are asserting. Of course, WHO has dismissed this as rubbish.

This, don't be so shocked at ethnic Armenian skepticm. And, what I am most shocked at is the fact you don't understand the nuances here in the Armenian-Turkish relationship. Otherwise, you most probably would have understood the nature of what Arsineh was trying to say.
