Medical School in English

So it's true, the medical school in Armenia has a complete course in English. It is quite cheap and students from India, Iran, Syria and other neighboring countries come to get a medical degree here...

Meanwhile the thick fog continues... and the airport remains closed. What chaos. Last night a friend boarded a bus full of such stranded passengers heading for Tblisi to catch flights from there that are now packed as well.

Flights flying to Yerevan, then turning back to Vienna; flights flying to Tblisi then bussing down to Yerevan; people bussing to Gyumri to fly out of there; and people living in various airports because the navigation system of Zvartnots doesn't work beyond a 700-meter radius. They are NOW installing new equipment. Inch amot.

My friend's uncle's plane (a repat, who rotates between Los Angeles and Yerevan) had to land in Gyumri. He wasn't too happy about that, and I'm guessing neither were the other people on the plane...

Your friends uncle was lucky. Really. Most flights are just cancelled or sent back. Gyumri is just a 1.5 hr drive from Yerevan.
