So this is what Mango looks like when it's open. I have only passed by in the evening after closing time. I know someone else who wanted to bring Mango to Armenia, but he didn't do it as they asked too much for the franchise.
Another money launding scheme. Armenia market is too small to hold such stores. Unless the taxes are not payed (custom, VAT, Income etc)and the produces are in low quality ( things that couldnt be sold in other places).
To the original "anonymous"... maybe you can add in your brillant business-promoting ideas instead of automatically assuming that whatever opens up in Armenia is a money-laundering scheme.
It is not my profession to develop biz promoting ideas, but I can add one.
IT field has the most potential since it doesnt need roads, rail or freight cost for exporting. It also doesnt need raw materials or other scarce resources. The only things that it needs are brain, high speed connectivity and computers that can be used for a long period of time.
brain we have but which is now becomeing scarce (lots of It people left and are leaving), high speed connectivity is a problem because of teh government regulations, computers can be imported.
So the only problem is the government itself which doesnt do anything to establish a modern and healthy infrustructure for It development in Armenia.
Coming to my earlier message I would say that have you though that how it comes that there are so many expensive cars in Armenian roads when over 80% of people are in or below the povertly line?
I have been in many places and in many rich cities and countries but never seen such a concentration of expensive cars in one place.
this can happen only if the place is a drag trafficing area, human trafficing area, money laundring or is a very rich country.
From all of those I would pick the money laundring since I cant seen any others to have so much potential in Armenia.
Pay attantion that sometimes when you purchase something from one of those stores the receipt that you get can have more 0s than the original price was.
