Calling on Hastert

Demo at Hastert's office was a success. Turns out Serj Tankian and John Dolmayan both made it, and Serj spoke, as well as Aram Hamparian, Executive Director of the ANCA, and a few others. Here's follow up news coverage.

This is good news for people who like bad news, such as the Turks.

I've noticed there has been a lot of good news for bad people (as in... they have been getting what they deserve.) Bush's approval ratings are down, Hastert has been exposed, Karl Rove was under heat for a while (any recent news on that?) and the latest...

TEXAS GRAND JURY INDICTS TOM DELAY!!!!

Here's a REALLY scummy Congressman from Texas who has been quite a road block for Armenian legislation as well. Not only that, his wife used to be my history teacher in High School and she was particularly hard on me. I never figured it out until I realized the scum she was married to. She couldn't stand the reports I'd give on Armenia. Well, take that Mrs. Delay! I came out just fine despite the C's you gave me and now look who's in trouble!

I'm giddy with joy!!! The drama continues...

So apparently Delay will be stepping down as House Majority Leader within days if not hours. Here's the winner. Hastert's response to yesterday's protest was that passing the resolutions to a vote was in the hands of Delay. Well, not anymore. So the question is who's taking his place. Looks like Rep. Drier is in line for the job. What is his track record on Armenian issues you ask? EXCELLENT!!! He is a good friend of the Armenians and has been very supportive of Armenian genocide resolutions, among others. Looks like he may take Delay's place very soon, but we'll have to see about the future of the resolutions.

OH THE JOY!!!!

JUST IN:

The European Parliament today with 356 for and 181 against votes decided that recognition of the Armenian Genocide is a condition and without that Turkey CANNOT join the European Union.

This is MAJOR news today in all European media,a shock for the Turkish government and shows once again that we are getting closer and closer to justice.

This also comes at an amazing time for American-Armenians to prove their point with Hastert and the Congress.Propaganda, propaganda, propaganda on every level possible!!!!

Yes Armen, but I think that's a non-binding resolution.
