Worst Armenian CD Cover Nomination #3

Here you go folks, Worst Armenian CD Cover Nomination #3- Rich and Connie Shelengian are the artists, the name of the CD is called, "Oud Vibrations". Remember, we are just poking fun at the cover, not the music or the actual people. The music is pretty good, actually. Also, keep in mind that part of the nomination process includes not only the album cover design, but the accompanying title to the music. In this case, it is "Oud Vibrations". www.cdbaby.com/shelengian if anyone is interested.

LOL, it is indeed a classic - as is the name of the album!! Oh man, Oud Vibrations!
Definitely echo your sentiment that we're not laughing at... this is all in the spirit of good fun.
It's just about the cover. No more, no less. And, there is a transparent reason I am doing this as well. I think when the word "Armenian" is attached to anything in the music business (or any other business) and put out there for public consumption for non-Armenians to view (or Armenians), we really should have some quality standards to adhere to. In the case of Rich and Connie, they probably spent a boat load on the actual recording process, spend a little bit more on the packaging to reflect the quality they are presenting on the record. In Paul's case, that is pure ego and bad taste. In Guy Chookoorian's case, it is classic 60's camp. However, in the end, they all land in my TOP 10 worst Armenian CD covers of all time.
I'm sure there are some Harout albumn covers that blow all these (except Paul) out of competition.
Exactly Raff, I was just adding that note for commenters, who sometimes can get a bit carried away :-)

Farmer Raf and Arsineh,
Just wait, we have 7 more nominations. And, some of them are pretty incredible. They have all passed the "odar" laugh filter in my wife.
Till next time,

I am SHOCKED.lost for words actually.Never imagined you had this severe musical critic in you. Maybe it’s the Libra in me seeking the balance but I always thought you looked deeper into the composition rather than the act. Is this new you Raffi Meneshian?
Hi Peter,
Every now and then, you gotta look into the Armo community and have a little fun. Just a little break from the serious side of Armo music life.
Is this Opie?

Nothing wrong with criticizing (with humour, in this case) something that is worthy of it.
Embracing something no matter how awful the quality only because it is Armenian encourages mediocrity. We can do better than that.
I don't think it's horrible. I've seen the various other nominees its up against and can definitely declare Oud Vibrations to be far less absurd than anything else on here. So the album title is a pun, is it really the end of the world? There are no colored beards, ridiculous mullets, or Paul Baghdadlians anywhere to be seen, and the music is good, so what's the big deal?
Hey, I'm not even Armenian, but that cover is too funny. What a couple of "squares" those two look like. The cover is of the "made by loving hands at home" variety. The Shelengians kind of look like somebody's uncle and aunt who play at weddings & such after the crowd's good and drunk. I like the music, though. I also found out that these 2 folks have a great deal of musical training and the Mrs. even has a doctorate in music. I guess you can't judge a CD by its cover. --Alison D. from Calif.
