System in DC

Incredible. Even though the whole band was sick, they delivered. I can only suggest that everyone try to make it to their shows when they come to town. Whether you like them or not, it's an experience you have to have. If you do like them, you wont regret it.

Check out all my photos at www.digitalrailroad.net/Arsineh. Sorry if it seems like I'm promoting my website too much, but I've just been very photo driven lately.

Arsineh...a few questions...1) How did you get sooo close to Serj? 2) What brand/model digital-camera are you using? 3) Are you touching up the colors? They look so good online?

I agree - it's a really great shot.

And people, don't forget to call your radio stations and MTV and request the new System material!!!

Tanx guys! I have even closer shots than this too. I asked them for a photo pass and they gave it to me. Travelling with ANCA folks gets you far at a System concert. I also had the honored privilege of meeting Serj afterwards who is quite a gentleman and articulate speaker, btw. I wasn't looking to meet him, but I'm glad I did. He's very humble and genuine.

I'm using a Canon Rebel Digital 6 megapixel with a couple different lenses. I do some touching up, but I don't saturate the colors, that's for sure. In fact, some cases I had to desaturate to bring out definition.

And there's the newer Rebel out now as well, the 8 pixel one (EOS 350D Rebel XT). LOL!

The pics look awesome.

Arsineh you think it's worth getting the XT one? I have a friend here who can't decide if it's worth the extra couple of hundred bucks.

EOS indeed. Another photographer at the show had JUST purchased the 8 and was testing it that night. For what I do, honestly, the 6 is great. I can't imagine needing the 8 right now because my photos rarely hit paper anyway. But I heard it's amazing. If $ is an issue and the friend isn't a pro, the 6 is plenty. I have enlarged up to 16 x 20 and gotten crystal clear results with photos taken on my 6. But eventually, it will be outdated like everything else.
