LIES LIES LIES!
The comment Madlene made about public transportation being down was a lie the opposition created. Actually, I saw quite a few yertughain taxis (marshrutkas) out there today.
The opposition has also made up a lie about dysentery, and some other viruses, spreading like mad in the country. The Ministry of Health actually held a meeting today just to inform the public that there are no outbreaks. The opposition is simply trying to create hysteria in Armenia.
They had their meeting today by the Opera with a few thousand jobless people from the villages. Other than that, the majority of Yerevantsis were busy shopping for their Easter celebrations coming up this weekend.
Props go out to the Dashnaktsutiun for at least making an effort to communicate with the opposition, and for asking the government to create dialogue with the opposition. And yesterday, the Dashnaktsutiun gathered a group of intellectuals to talk about what is going on right now and for the public to hear their opinions.
Anyway, it is about 10pm and although the opposition said they would take over today (April the 9th), as of now ... Kocharian is still president.
