For those who were breathlessly waiting to hear about my experience with the water department, here goes. I got the address from my neighbor, and headed over at about 10am with my passport, title to my property, and prepared to spend many hours getting this paperwork done. When I got in there and finally got to ask at a few desks what I needed to be doing, I finally got to a girl who had me fill in a form to have my meters sealed. She said I could not do any of the other paperwork until that was completed, and that the guy would call me in the next ten days. So what could I do? I came back home and then headed out to eat with friends since my time with the water department was much shorter than I expected. After a really fantastic day wandering the city all day with Lena and Alex and eating twice, I finally made it home for a nap at 5pm only to find out from my neighbor that the guys had come by to do my meter! So they left a number and maybe I can get it done tomorrow... but I am not holding my breath!
Oh, by the way, Jack's 2004 Armenia calendar was printed this week and he picked some up last night. Absolutely beautiful! I hope you have a chance to see it. Tomorrow is his last day in Armenia, his summer here has come to an end. He is heading back to Australia to catch their spring :-)
