The closing of the pan Armenian games turned out to be quite fun in the end. It started off with some very dull presentations/speeches, but then the musicians started and things got much better. Some of the early singers were entertaining for the wrong reasons (body builder t-shirts, funny hairdo, etc) but then they got to Nune and Tata and the crowd loved it. At least the crowd on the floor. In the seating things were a lot more boring. Now let me complain about the problems. It was too hot, outdoors would have been better. They did not have any western Armenian speaker. There was no Harout Pamboukjian (sp?) :-) and finally there were not enough doors open to exit from, and it was an unpleasant pushing match to get out. But great event overall, really. I hope the next one is in 2 years, not in 4 like I have heard.
