What a long day today was. My front door was delivered first thing this morning made out of steel and of course the wood was the wrong colour. These front doors look like strong room doors, the ones that lead you to a Bank vault where all the safes are kept. I advised the guy who delivered the door that I would not pay the remaining money until he fixed the colour for me. Needless to say neither of us were impressed and the issue is still not resolved. While this argument was going on some woman appears in front of my door and asks me for money for the water supply to my apartment. What money I say, for the full 20 minutes supply that I receive every morning at 6am? I turned her away and advised we would discuss this at another time.

The afternoon was more productive, after 2 trips to OVIR yesterday and yet another today, I finally received my one-year residency for Armenia. I don�t have to make another trip to OVIR for quite some time. This was my highlight of the day. The afternoon was spent brainstorming some ideas for an upcoming conference, which was quite refreshing considering all I�ve been concerned with lately, was the remodelling.

I then receive a phone call during the meeting at 8.30 pm advising that parquet would be delivered this evening. I rush over to make sure the workers are still at my flat and end up helping the guys take the planks up four flights until 10pm.
