There were no goals in the soccer (football) match against Byelorussia last night, however it was still a fun game. Just being part of a massive Armenian crowd, and observing crowd dynamics is fun enough for me. It is one of the best opportunities to see people express their nationalism. Held at the newly remodeled Republican Stadium, the hot weather prediction came true and cooked the crowd during the first half until it partly set and allowed us to watch the second half in peace. Last game was a couple of months ago versus Wales and that was a drizzly but action packed game with the crowd really going wild the whole time. That also was a tie game, so maybe the next game against Poland will proove more decisive.

The heat looks like it will continue today with the cloudlessness, and hopefully the great view of Mt. Ararat will continue as well. It feels like we went straight to August...
