One of my friends from America (non-Armenian) is here for the second consecutive summer to study chess. In addition, he has learned/taught himself quite a bit of Armenian language during his 2 month stay last summer and now understands most basic conversations. It is gratifying seeing people come to Armenia for one of a panorama of reasons. For Joe (Hovsep) it is quite simple: he gets better quality chess instruction (with a terrific, friendly Grandmaster!) at a fraction of the cost while enjoying all that Armenia has to offer during the beautiful summer months. I enjoy seeing Armenia showcase its excellence in all walks of life. Just ask Joe, this is a great place to be.
