Just got back from Poplavok, one of the best known places in Yerevan. It has live jazz, questionable service, an unbeatable location on a little artificial lake, and serves such delicacies as "Drunky Hen", "Kesedia", "Bifstrips", and "Hen Pizza". But really it is a great place to hang, and to see and be seen. Otherwise all day was spent at vernissage. I was strong and did not buy anything, although I would have bought a great Ararat painting if Michelle hadn't. Oh, at vernissage we met Arsine, an American-Armenian girl who is seriously considering moving here in September... As Lena would say, "Cool bananas". (That is Australian for simply "Cool")
